Votes on People's Vetoes
People's veto, as defined in the Legislator's Handbook, is the procedure established in the Constitution of Maine (Article IV, Part Third, Section 17) by which voters may petition for a referendum on the question of whether legislation passed by the Legislature but not yet in effect should take effect.
