            (5-10)  the Narraguagus Junior/Senior High School Girls Volleyball Team, of Harrington, which won the Class D State Championship.  We extend our congratulations and best wishes;

            (5-11)  Russ Bartlett, of Newburgh, on his retirement after 23 years as coach of the Hampden Academy boys varsity basketball team and 30 years of coaching overall.  Mr. Bartlett coached his Hampden Academy teams to 343 wins, 9 regional championships and four state championships.  We extend our congratulations and best wishes;

            (5-12)  the Bath Housing Comfortably Home program, on the program's 10th Anniversary.  Comfortably Home was created by Bath Housing to help older adults safely and independently remain in their homes.  It has become the model for MaineHousing's Community Aging in Place Grant Program and informed the design of HUD's Older Adult Home Modification Program.  Comfortably Home provides no-cost home safety checks, minor maintenance and accessibility improvements, such as grab bars, handrails, stair ramps, lighting upgrades, weatherization and bathroom adaptations, that have reduced falls, hospitalizations and 911 calls.  This model has demonstrated remarkably efficient use of resources, reduced strain on the health care system and Maine's limited rental housing supply, supported dignity and independence of older adults and strengthened communities.  The Comfortably Home approach has now been replicated by housing authorities in Old Town, South Portland, Ellsworth, Mount Desert Island and Fort Fairfield as a proven, high impact method of supporting aging in place.  In observance of National Senior Independence Month, we recognize the impact of Comfortably Home on its 10th anniversary in helping older Mainers remain safe and independent in their homes.  We extend our congratulations and best wishes;
