In Memory of:

 

           (5-32)  the Honorable June C. Meres, of Norridgewock. Mrs. Meres was a registered nurse working in New York, Michigan and Connecticut before coming to Maine in 1969 and eventually settling in Norridgewock.  She was an active member of the School Administrative District 54 board, serving as chairwoman, and she served the town on the Planning Board and the Board of Selectmen for many years.  She served two terms in the Maine House of Representatives, representing Norridgewock.  Her faith was very important to her, and for many years she was active in her church's committees and taught religious education classes. Mrs. Meres will be long remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends and all those whose lives she touched;

           (5-33)  Joseph J. Falter, of Aurora, Colorado.  In 1957, Mr. Falter founded the St. John Valley Times newspaper with Emile Genest in Madawaska.  He served as publisher until 1971, when he sold the paper to his brother-in-law, Forrest Rahrig. He relocated to Lebanon, Ohio, where he was editor of The Western Star weekly newspaper until his retirement in 1984.  Mr. Falter will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends and all those whose lives he touched;
