Deputy Chief Pendleton started as a Junior Firefighter in 1981, becoming a full-time Firefighter in 1985 and a Deputy Chief in 2012. We extend our congratulations and best wishes;

(5-11) William Madore, of Arundel, on his retirement as a Captain of the Saco Fire Department after 35 years of service. Captain Madore started as a Firefighter in 1980 and achieved the rank of Captain in 2001. We extend our congratulations and best wishes;

(5-12) Benjamin Jerome, of Biddeford, on his retirement as a Lieutenant of the Saco Fire Department after 36 years of service. Lieutenant Jerome started as a Firefighter in 1989 and achieved the rank of Lieutenant in 2019. We extend our congratulations and best wishes;

(5-13) Team 3G-T, of York, which won the 2025 Maine State VEX Robotics Championship for the middle school division. The team also earned Second Place in the Robot Skills category. Team 3G-T then competed at the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas. Members of the team are Willow Staley, Charlotte Wallwork, Penelope Betoglou and Tim Eager. We extend our congratulations and best wishes;

(5-14) Mary Nadeau, of Corinna, for her 33 years of service at Nokomis Regional High School, where she has worked as a teacher, as Director of Guidance, as Assistant Principal and, for the past 16 years, as Principal. Ms. Nadeau serves on the Maine Principals' Association Board of Directors and is a Past President of the association, serves on the National Federation of High School Sports Field Hockey Rules Committee as the Northeast Representative and is a member of the Kennebec Consortium for School Administrators. In 2017, she was named the State Champion for Maine by the New England Secondary School Consortium. In 2007, Ms. Nadeau was named the Maine Principals' Association Assistant Principal of the Year. In Memory of:
(5-20) Paul H. Webster, of Verona Island. Mr. Webster was a veteran of the United States Army, having served 2 years, including one year in Korea. He worked for 37 years at the Bucksport paper mill and retired in 2014. In his retirement, he worked part-time at Jerry's Hardware. He was an active member of his community and volunteered at multiple fundraising events. He was a member of the Penobscot Bay Rod and Gun Club and was involved with several bass fishing clubs. He was also a member of the Rising Star Lodge No. 4 of Penobscot. Mr. Webster will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family, friends and community;

(5-21) the Honorable David L. Tobin, of Windham. Mr. Tobin was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served his country during the Korean War as an Air Traffic Controller and was stationed in England. He went on to have a long and diverse career that included work as a service manager for both Pontiac and Ford dealerships, as a manager at Northeast Cold Storage and ultimately as a letter carrier and employee for the United States Postal Service. He served on the Board of Directors for New Marblehead Manor and served on the Windham Town Council, chairing multiple planning and ordinance committees. He was instrumental in shaping local policies, most notably through his work on the 1980 and 1990 Comprehensive Planning Committees. He was a member of Maine's House of Representatives in the 119th, 120th and 121st Legislatures, during which he assisted veterans and worked to pass key environmental legislation that protected the natural resources of the State. He had a longtime involvement with the youth of his community through the American Legion, sponsoring dances for local youth and serving as an active leader in Boy Scout Troop 802. He was twice nominated for the Jefferson Award for Public Service. Mr. Tobin will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family, friends and community;
