In Memory of:
(5-72) May Britt Ingegard Backman Reslow, of Old Orchard Beach. Mrs. Reslow was a longtime member of the Swedish American Salvation Army Corps in Providence, Rhode Island. She worked many years as a social worker for the Salvation Army Day Care Center in Providence. A piano, organ and guitar player, she was the String Band and Songster leader for the Providence Corps. Retiring to Maine in 2011, she was an active member of the Old Orchard Beach Salvation Army Corps. Mrs. Reslow will be long remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends and all those whose lives she touched;

(5-73) Doris Bergeron, of Saco. Ms. Bergeron, as a student-athlete at Thornton Academy, was a star field hockey player and was inducted into the Thornton Academy Hall of Fame. She worked as a social worker for Maine's Department of Health and Human Services, first working in child welfare, then assisting mothers in need, and later working in a key role setting up adoptions for parents. She eventually became a senior manager in the department. A devout Catholic, she was a longtime parishioner of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Saco. In 2022, she was recognized by the Maine Health Care Association Remember ME program, honoring residents in long-term care facilities who have historically significant backgrounds, interesting accomplishments and long service to the State or Nation. Ms. Bergeron will be long remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends and all those whose lives she touched;

(5-74) Richard Allen Morrell, of Brunswick. Mr. Morrell was a veteran of the United States Army Signal Corps. He joined the family business, Brunswick Coal Company, in the 1950s. He and his brother led the company, later named Downeast Energy and Building Supply, into the third generation. In the 1960s, he served on the Brunswick Board of Selectmen, and he served in the Maine House of Representatives in the 103rd and 105th Legislatures and the Maine Senate in the 106th and 108th Legislatures. He supported the United Way, the Boy Scouts and an expansion of the former Parkview Memorial Hospital. He served on the board of trustees at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, including as chair in 2005. He served Bowdoin College as an overseer, trustee and chair of many committees. He served on the board of Regional Memorial Hospital for eight years and Mid Coast Health Services for twenty-one years. He was instrumental in the merger of the Bath and Brunswick hospitals, creating Mid Coast Hospital in 2001. Mr. Morrell will be long remembered and sadly missed by his wife of seventy-three years, Eleanor, his family and friends and all those whose lives he touched;

(5-75) Diane Lynn Black, of Brunswick. Mrs. Black was an avid artist, poet, storyteller and actress. She also worked as a Tai Chi instructor at Spindleworks in Brunswick. He served on the Presque Isle City Council and was a member of the Presque Isle Fish and Game Club, the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club and the Presque Isle Curling Club League. In retirement, he worked for Buck's Market cutting wood and trimming Christmas trees. He will be long remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Susan, his family and friends and all those whose lives he touched;
