Representative Laura D. Supica
Rep. Supica
  Representing: Bangor (part)
District #126

Rep. Laura Supica has been serving Bangor for more than 10 years. By day she has worked for local businesses, and by night she has waited tables. She has spent considerable time in the craft food and beverage industry where she earned an appreciation for a fine cheddar and a good stout. Supica’s hard work paid off in 2015, when she was able to buy her own home near the Thomas Hill Standpipe, completing a lifelong dream of stability.

In 2017 she ran for Bangor's City Council and won. Later that year she began working for the Secretary Of State’s office, which provided her an opportunity to work for and learn from some of the most wonderful public servants a state could hope for. During her three years on Council, she became more acquainted with the larger structural barriers facing the people of Bangor and decided to run for the Legislature.

Supica's entry into public service began with volunteering for the Eastern Area Agency on Aging, working to distribute food commodities to seniors and being an Elder Buddy. Volunteering as an Elder Buddy is one of her favorite ways to give back to the community she loves and an enjoyable way to help our seniors age in place. Supica also has volunteered for the Mabel Wadsworth Center, helping to organize their 2017 gala by serving on their planning committee. She currently sits on the boards of the Eastern Area Agency on Aging and The Together Place.

Supica still lives near the Thomas Hill Standpipe with her Husband Chris Peary, whom she cherishes and considers her better half, and their rescue dog Patriot and two cats, Ray Ray and Cranberry.
