§222. Possession of fireworks
1.
Possession prohibited.
A person may not possess or have under that person's control fireworks.

Value does not exceed $100.
If the value of the fireworks does not exceed $100, a person who violates subsection 1 commits a civil violation for which a fine of not more than $50 may be adjudged.

Value exceeds $100.
If the value of the fireworks exceeds $100, a person who violates subsection 1 commits a Class E crime.

Exception.
This section does not apply to a person issued a permit pursuant to section 227‑A.
