Rep. Bruce White is serving his third term in the Maine House of Representatives. He sits on the Transportation Committee and the Innovation, Development, Economic Advancement and Business Committee.

Rep. White and his six siblings were raised by a single mother in Waterville. After working for 21 years at Scott Paper, he began a second career as a computer technician with the support of state and federal job training programs following the mill’s closure. He then worked for 20 years for the Winslow, China and Vassalboro schools before retiring in 2019.

Deeply committed to giving back to the Waterville community, Rep. White serves on the Waterville Planning Board and volunteers with a number of local organizations, including the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, Northern Light Inland Hospital, Mid-Maine Technical Center and the Alfond Youth and Community Center. He is a board member for New Dimensions Federal Credit Union and has also served as president of the United Paperworkers International Union Local 911.
