Representative Amy J. Roeder

Rep. Amy Roeder is serving her first term in the Maine House. She is a member of the Legislature’s Labor and Housing Committee. 

Roeder has worked in the arts her entire adult life, both as an artist and as an administrator. She currently serves as an adjunct theatre professor at the University of Maine. In addition, Roeder is a freelance business trainer and has worked with multiple local and national companies to address critical issues around communication, problem solving and organizational change management.

She looks forward to being a strong advocate in Augusta for fair wages, safe working conditions and expanded opportunities for all workers. Roeder is particularly passionate about supporting small businesses and working to help Maine’s downtowns and Main Streets thrive. 

She is an adoptive mother of two sons and lives in Bangor’s Little City neighborhood. She holds a BFA from the University of Evansville, an MFA from the University of Georgia and is in the process of earning her MBA from the University of Maine.
