Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §3502, sub-§6 is enacted to read:

 
6.__Liability.__A transit district formed under this chapter
is a governmental entity for the purposes of Title 14, chapter
741.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill allows transit districts formed under the Maine
Revised Statutes, Title 30-A, chapter 163 by one or more
municipalities to be treated as governmental entities for the
purposes of the Maine Tort Claims Act.
