Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 32 MRSA §1098-E is enacted to read:

 
§1098-E.__Drugs

 
A dental hygienist may prescribe fluoride or chlorhexidine or
a derivative of fluoride or chlorhexidine without a dentist
present.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill allows dental hygienists to prescribe fluoride and
chlorhexidine or their derivatives without a dentist present.
