Sec. 1. 38 MRSA §1306, sub-§5 is enacted to read:

5.__Construction and demolition debris in solid waste landfill or incineration facility.__After January 1, 2006, a person may not dispose of construction and demolition debris in a solid waste landfill or in an incineration facility in this State unless the structure from which the debris originated is or was located in this State.

SUMMARY

This bill bans the disposal in a landfill or in an incineration facility of debris resulting from construction, remodeling, repair and demolition of structures unless the structure from which the debris originated is or was located in this State.
