Sec. 1. Designating official state memorial in honor of Vietnam War veterans. Resolved:
That the monument to be erected in Bangor on the grounds of
the Cole Land Transportation Museum be designated an official
state memorial to honor the veterans of Maine who gave their
lives in defense of freedom during the Vietnam War and those
who are still missing in action; and be it further

 
Sec. 2. Signs for Vietnam War memorial. Resolved: That the Department of
Transportation may erect signs in appropriate locations
identifying the location of the official state memorial
designated under section 1.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve establishes an official state memorial to honor
the veterans of Maine who gave their lives while serving
during the Vietnam War and those who are missing in action.
It also authorizes the Department of Transportation to erect
signs identifying the memorial.
