Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and
allocations are made.

 
EDUCATION, DEPARTMENT OF

 
General Purpose Aid for Local Schools

 
Initiative: Provides funds for a 10% increase in funding
for the English as a 2nd language program for students with
limited English proficiency.

SUMMARY

 
This bill provides funds for a 10% increase in funding for
the English as a 2nd language program in the General Purpose
Aid for Local Schools program within the Department of
Education for students with limited English proficiency.
