His career in dental medical lasted for more than 37 years. Active in his community, he took on many leadership roles, including running the Rotary Club's "Angel Tree Drive," and cofounding the John Bapst hockey program. He also spearheaded the restoration project of John Bapst High School's Steinway grand piano. Piano was one of his greatest passions for 71 years. His love of music took him across the country to learn from some of the greatest Blues musicians of his time. Over the years, he composed and recorded his music and spent many evenings playing the piano for the patrons of Manna Soup Kitchen in Bangor. He became involved with youth hockey in the early 1980s and remained very active in it for more than 30 years.
