Chapter 39: REGULATION OF INTERNET GAMING
§1417

§1416. Allocation of funds

1.  Tax imposed; allocation of funds.  An operator shall collect and distribute 18% of the adjusted gross Internet gaming receipts to the director to be forwarded by the director to the Treasurer of State for distribution as follows:  
A. Two percent of the adjusted gross Internet gaming receipts must be deposited in the Gambling Control Unit administrative expenses Other Special Revenue Funds account, which is a nonlapsing dedicated account;   [PL 2025, c. 538, §4 (NEW).]
B. Two percent of the adjusted gross Internet gaming receipts must be deposited in the Gambling Addiction Prevention and Treatment Fund established under Title 5, section 20006‑B;   [PL 2025, c. 538, §4 (NEW).]
C. Two and one-half percent of the adjusted gross Internet gaming receipts must be deposited in the dairy stabilization tier program under Title 7, chapter 611;   [PL 2025, c. 538, §4 (NEW).]
D. One and one-half percent of the adjusted gross Internet gaming receipts must be deposited in the Opioid Use Disorder Prevention and Treatment Fund established under Title 5, section 20010;   [PL 2025, c. 538, §4 (NEW).]
E. Two percent of the adjusted gross Internet gaming receipts must be deposited in the Emergency Housing Relief Fund established under Title 30‑A, section 4765;   [PL 2025, c. 538, §4 (NEW).]
F. Five percent of the adjusted gross Internet gaming receipts must be deposited in the Maine Veterans' Homes Stabilization Fund established under Title 37‑B, section 613;   [PL 2025, c. 538, §4 (NEW).]
G. One percent of the adjusted gross Internet gaming receipts must be deposited in the Fund for a Healthy Maine established under Title 22, section 1511; and   [PL 2025, c. 538, §4 (NEW).]
H. Two percent of the adjusted gross Internet gaming receipts must be deposited in the School Revolving Renovation Fund established under Title 30‑A, section 6006‑F.   [PL 2025, c. 538, §4 (NEW).]

2.  Due dates; late payments.  The director may adopt rules establishing the dates on which payments required by this section are due. All payments not remitted when due must be paid together with interest on the unpaid balance at a rate of 1.5% per month.
