Sec. JJJ-1. Transfer of funds; start-up cost of Business and Consumer Court. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the State Controller shall transfer $200,000 from the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, Office of Consumer Credit Regulation Other Special Revenue Funds account to the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund no later than June 30, 2007 in order to defray a portion of the start-up cost of the Business and Consumer Court within the Judicial Department.
Sec. JJJ-2. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.
JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT
Courts - Supreme, Superior, District and Administrative 0063
Initiative: Appropriates funds for 2 District Court Judge positions, one Law Clerk position, 2 Court Security Officer positions, 2 Assistant Clerk positions and one Court Reporter position. These positions begin on July 1, 2006.
Appropriates funds for one Superior Court Judge position, one District Court Judge position, one Law Clerk position, 2 Court Security Officer positions and 2 Assistant Clerk positions. These positions begin on January 1, 2007 and the 2 judges may be appointed any time prior to January 1, 2007.
This appropriation is partially offset by a $200,000 transfer from the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, Office of Consumer Credit Regulation Other Special Revenue Funds account to the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund in fiscal year 2006-07.
