Sec. HHH-1. MaineCare hospital settlements. Funds appropriated and allocated under section 4 of this Part for fiscal year 2005-06 are to make hospital settlement payments current through hospital 2003 fiscal years. Funds appropriated and allocated under section 4 of this Part for fiscal year 2006-07 are to make settlements current for hospital fiscal years ending on or before June 30, 2004 and, to the extent funding permits, for hospital fiscal years ending on or before September 30, 2004. All hospital settlements made under this Part must be made before October 15, 2006.
Sec. HHH-2. Transfer from General Fund to Highway Fund. The State Controller shall transfer $15,000,000 from the General Fund unappropriated surplus to the Highway Fund unappropriated surplus no later than June 30, 2007. This transfer is intended to provide resources to the Highway Fund on a one-time basis to address the Highway Fund shortfall and does not represent any future General Fund commitment to the Highway Fund.
