Rep. Sophie Warren is serving her second term in the Maine House of Representatives. She sits on the Energy, Utilities and Technology Committee.

Rep. Warren is proud to represent part of Scarborough, her hometown. She is a 2019 graduate of Brandeis University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in international relations, and has previously worked in U.S. Sen. Angus King's Washington office.

She is a member of Seeds of Peace, the Scarborough Land Trust and Dirigo Girls State. Rep. Warren and her mom are also active volunteers with the Scarborough Food Bank.

Brief description of the subject matter handled by the committee: Energy policy, including energy resources, wind energy development, biomass energy, hydropower, solar energy; efficiency and conservation; electric industry, including supply, transmission and distribution; natural gas industry; telecommunications industry, including telephone, Internet, broadband and cable television services; E-9-1-1; water and sewer utilities, including district charters; Public Utilities Commission; Office of the Public Advocate; Governor’s Energy Office; ConnectME Authority; and Efficiency Maine Trust.
