Rep. Michele Meyer is serving her third term in the Maine House of Representatives. She is the House chair of the Health and Human Services Committee. An Eliot resident for more than 25 years, Meyer is a registered nurse with a focus on occupational and community health. A proud parent and grandparent, Meyer is working to address policies that strengthen social safety net programs, build family resiliency and promote healthy child development. Quality health care for Mainers across the lifespan, ensuring reproductive choice, reducing the property tax burden by increasing municipal revenue sharing, fully funding our schools and building our workforce are among the policy areas she hopes will enhance the quality of life here as well as encourage young people to remain in or return to Maine. Meyer and her husband, Jay, own and operate a small organic farm in Eliot. Along with growing vegetables and flowers, they raise and milk a small herd of Nubian dairy goats and are licensed maple syrup producers. To view high resolution photos of Rep. Meyer click here.
