|
The bill creates
the Industrialized Housing Incentive Program in the Department of Economic
and Community Development and provides a one-time General Fund appropriation
of $300,000 in fiscal year 2026-27 for the costs of a subject matter expert
to design and implement a pilot program. The bill also provides an Other
Special Revenue Funds ongoing base allocation of $500 beginning in fiscal
year 2026-27 in the event that funds are received for grants to eligible
manufacturers of industrialized housing.
Any additional costs to the Maine Office of Community Affairs, Department
of Education, and Department of Labor from the provisions of this bill are
expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
