Fiscal Detail and Notes
	This bill would double the per diem rate received by the members and chair of the Maine Labor Relations Board (board) for participating in hearings and prehearing conferences. Board members would receive $150 and the board chair would receive $200. Annual per diem costs currently total about $2,550 and would double to $5,100 starting in fiscal year 2026-27. Per diem costs are typically absorbed within the board's General Fund appropriation and therefore, no new General Fund appropriations are required. Should per diem costs exceed the resources available within the board's General Fund appropriation, the board would charge the per diem costs for a hearing to the parties to the case, and therefore still no new General Fund appropriations would be required.
