Fiscal Detail and Notes
The amendment removes the bill's shifting of 2 percent of real estate transfer tax revenue from the General Fund to the Maine State Housing Authority's, Shelter Operating Subsidy, Other Special Revenue Funds program, and replaces it with a one-time shift of real estate transfer tax revenue from the Housing Production Fund, Other Special Revenue Funds program.
The amendment provides a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $1,012,671 in fiscal year 2026-27 to the Maine State Housing Authority's, Shelter Operating Subsidy program.
