Fiscal Detail and Notes
This bill provides General Fund appropriations of $17,580 in fiscal year 2026-27 to the Department of Health and Human Services for the Office of MaineCare Services to not require prior authorization for deep sedation or general anesthesia for dental services, and establish a reimbursement rate for these services at 67% of the commercial median benchmark. Federal Expenditures Fund allocations will also be required for the FMAP match.
