This amendment
repeals the provisions of law governing permits issued to hunting outfitters,
including provisions directing the use of proceeds from those permits to
support youth conservation education programs and to be deposited in the
Moose Research and Management Fund (MRMF). The amendment establishes a new
permit structure for moose hunting lodges, retains a permit fee, but does not
include provisions directing the distribution of proceeds to support youth
conservation education programs or to be deposited in the Moose Research and
Management Fund (MRMF). |
|
As a result,
Other Special Revenue Funds revenue previously associated with those
statutory distributions may no longer be realized or may be reduced. The
extent of any impact will depend on permit issuance and program
implementation and cannot be determined at this time. |
