Fiscal Detail
and Notes |
The bill includes
ongoing annual General Fund appropriations to the Department of Health and
Human Services of $1,700,000 beginning in fiscal year 2025-26 to contract
with community-based nonprofit organizations to hire an outreach caseworker
and housing stability worker in each of the 9 homeless services hubs
established by the Maine State Housing Authority.
The department suggested that the funding in this bill be moved from the
0228 - Purchased Social Services account to the Z374 - Housing First Program
account. This change would not impact the amount of funding provided in the
bill. |
