This bill
includes General Fund appropriations totaling $458,072 in fiscal year 2025-26
and $111,314 in fiscal year 2026-27 to support the provisions in the bill
related to the funding of adult education programs in the State. Of the amount appropriated in fiscal year
2025-26, $300,000 is provided to support adult education programs and $50,000
is provided for the one-time technology costs to make the necessary system
changes to remove adult education funding from subsidy payments to school
administrative units and, instead, make the payments directly to adult
education programs. Additionally, ongoing General Fund appropriations of
$108,072 and $111,314 is provided in fiscal years 2025-26 and 2026-27,
respectively, for one Education Specialist III position to oversee the
distribution of funding to adult education programs in the State. |
