Any additional
costs associated with this legislation will be the responsibility of the
employees and employers participating in the Participating Local District
(PLD) Consolidated Plan. Because members of the State Employee and Teacher
Retirement Plan do not participate in social security, there is no fiscal
impact to the State. Additional costs
to the Maine Public Employees Retirement System associated with the
rulemaking process, if a recommendation is received from the PLD Advisory
Committee pursuant to Title 5, section 18801, can be absorbed within existing
budgeted resources. |
