|
This bill changes
how the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) calculates compensation
fees for land affected by certain renewable energy development projects. It
also redirects the revenue from these fees: instead of going to an account
with the DEP after administrative costs are deducted, the funds will be
deposited into the Land for Maine’s Future Trust Fund within the Department
of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.
