Correctional and Judicial Impact Statements
This amendment removes the language that would have increased the number of civil suits filed in the court system. The minor cost and revenue associated with that increase is also eliminated.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
This amendment removes the increased revenue to the Highway Fund from fines received during the pilot project included in the committee amendment for highway work zones.
This amendment increases the fine for a violation of the maximum speed in a construction zone by $500.  General Fund revenue will be increased, however no estimate of the increase has been made at this time.
