The bill includes
a one-time General Fund appropriation to the Department of Health and Human
Services of $5,000,000 in fiscal year 2026-27 to provide grants to
community-based nonprofit organizations to increase access to out-of-school
programming for school-age youth.
A more current estimate would increase the General Fund appropriation by
$100,000 in fiscal year 2026-27, for a total of $5,100,000, to fund a
contracted position to develop and oversee the grant program. |
