The additional
workload associated with the minimal number of new cases filed in the court
system does not require additional funding at this time. The collection of
additional fines will increase General Fund or other dedicated revenue by
minor amounts. |

The Department of
Health and Human Services will require General Fund appropriations of
$380,294 in fiscal year 2025-26 and $396,071 in fiscal year 2026-27 to
establish 2 Human Services Caseworker positions and 2 Social Services Program
Specialist II positions to investigate violations of and monitor for
compliance with mandated reporter requirements. Other Special Revenue Funds allocations
will also be required. |

The Department of
the Attorney will require an Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of
$100,246 in fiscal year 2026-27 for one part-time Assistant Attorney General
position and related All Other costs to work with the Department of Health
and Human Services on issues and violations related to mandatory reporter
laws. |
|
Other Special
Revenue Funds revenue to the Department of the Attorney General will increase
by $100,246 in fiscal year 2026-27 from additional reimbursement received
from the Department of Health and Human Resources related to violations of
the mandatory reporter law. |
