|
This bill
prohibits food waste generators from disposing of food waste at incineration
facilities or landfills beginning July 1, 2029. To implement the program, the
Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) anticipates reclassifying one
Environmental Specialist III position to an Environmental Specialist IV in
fiscal year 2027-28 and reallocating two Environmental Specialist III
positions and one Planning and Research Associate II position in fiscal year
2028-29. The DEP would require additional Other Special Revenue Funds
allocations of $11,511 in fiscal year 2027-28 and $17,865 in fiscal year
2028-29 to support the reorganization. |
