This bill
includes one-time General Fund appropriations of $7.5 million in fiscal year
2025-26 and fiscal year 2026-27 only to the Maine State Housing Authority for
low-income electric ratepayer assistance. |

Any additional
costs to the Public Utilities Commission to adopt the changes in this bill
are expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted
resources. |
|
Any additional
savings to the Department of Health and Human Services, General Assistance
program, from the provisions of this bill are expected to be minor and can be
absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
