The bill includes
General Fund appropriations to the Department of Corrections of $244,000 in
fiscal year 2025-26 and $124,000 in fiscal year 2026-27 for one-time funding
to support activities by the sheriffs, collectively through a statewide
association of sheriffs, to develop, support and maintain an automated crime
victims notification system to be used in jails, county correctional
facilities and regional correctional facilities. |

Any additional
costs to the Department of Corrections from serving on the advisory committee
are expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted
resources. |
