Correctional and Judicial Impact Statements
This bill may increase the number of civil suits filed in the court system. The additional workload associated with the minimal number of new cases does not require additional funding at this time. The collection of additional fines and filing fees will increase General Fund or other dedicated revenue by minor amounts.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Bureau of Financial Institutions within the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation will require Other Special Revenue Funds allocations of $100,035 in fiscal year 2025-26 and $141,002 in fiscal year 2026-27 to establish one Principal Bank Examiner position to manage compliance, compliant processing and review of disclosures related to this bill effective October 1, 2025.
