Fiscal Detail
and Notes |
|
|
|
|
|
|
The bill includes
ongoing General Fund appropriations of $700,000 beginning in fiscal year
2025-26 to the Maine Office of Community Affairs (OCA) to support the
participation of 20 program fellows in the Maine Service Fellows
Program.
The OCA will require additional General Fund appropriations of $32,000 in
fiscal year 2025-26 and $16,000 in fiscal year 2026-27 to contract with an
outside entity to compile a list of volunteers who are available at the
request of the Governor during states of emergency to provide emergency
response and support services in coordination with the Maine Emergency
Management Agency.
Any additional costs to the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency
Management to consult with the Office of Community Affairs to compile a list
of volunteers available to assist during states of emergency are expected to
be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
