Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) will require ongoing annual General Fund appropriations of $77,191 beginning in fiscal year 2026-27 to provide MaineCare reimbursement for lactation services for eligible members. Ongoing Federal Expenditures Fund and Federal Block Grant Fund allocations will also be required for the FMAP match. The DHHS will also require one-time General Fund appropriations of $83,115 in fiscal year 2026-27 for computer system updates and testing to reimburse for lactation services. Federal Expenditure Fund and Other Special Revenue Funds allocations will also be required for these one-time costs.
