This bill
includes ongoing General Fund appropriations totaling $650,000 per year
beginning in fiscal year 2025-26 to the General Purpose Aid for Local Schools
program within the Department of Education to provide funding for the Maine
School of Science and Mathematics. Of that amount, $400,000 is appropriated
to support the administrative operations of the school and $250,000 is
appropriated for financial support to in-state students who demonstrate a
need for room and board expenses. |
