Fiscal Detail and Notes
The bill includes an Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $200,492 in fiscal year 2026-27 to the Department of Attorney General  for one half-time equivalent Assistant Attorney General position and related costs to enforce provisions related to state's sovereignty over and ownership of offshore waters. Other Special Revenue Funds revenue to the Department of Attorney General will increase by $200,492 in fiscal year 2026-27 for reimbursement of legal fees from state agencies.
The bill includes ongoing General Fund appropriations to the Department of Marine Resources of $712,962 beginning in fiscal year 2025-26 for 6 Patrol Officer positions and associated position costs to support the enforcement of marine resources laws in the expanded coverage area. The bill also includes ongoing appropriations to DMR of $200,492 starting in fiscal year 2026-27 to reimburse the Department of Attorney General for related position costs.
