Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of Attorney General will require an Other Special Revenue Services allocation of $200,492 for one half-time equivalent Assistant Attorney General and related costs to enforce provisions related to state's sovereignty over and ownership of offshore waters.  Other Special Revenue funds to the Department of Attorney General will increase by $200,492 in fiscal year 2026-27 for reimbursement of legal fees from state agencies.
The Department of Marine Resources (DMR) will require ongoing General Fund appropriations of $712,962 for beginning in fiscal year 2025-26 to support six Patrol Officer positions needed for enforcing marine resource laws in the expanded coverage area. Additionally, ongoing appropriations of $200,492 to DMR will be necessary starting in fiscal year 2026-27 to reimburse the Department of Attorney General for related position costs.
