Fiscal Detail
and Notes |
This bill changes
the emissions standards for outdoor wood boilers and requires the Department
of Environmental Protection (DEP) to adopt new rules regarding their use. The
DEP has indicated that these changes cannot be completed within existing
resources and that additional staffing is required. The DEP would require
ongoing General Fund appropriations of $109,480 in fiscal year 2025-26 and
$117,482 in fiscal year 2026-27 for one Environmental Specialist III position
and associated costs. |
