The Department of
Health and Human Services will require General Fund appropriations of
$126,877 in fiscal year 2025-26 and $151,561 in fiscal year 2026-27 for one
Public Health Educator III position for public education and outreach related
to household well water testing and to provide free water testing for certain
contaminants to low-income households. |

Additional costs
to the Maine State Housing Authority associated with consulting with the
Department of Health and Human Services regarding the availability of grants
under Title 30-A, section 4722, paragraph FF can be absorbed within existing
budgeted resources. |
