Fiscal Detail and Notes
	Modifying the provisions of law governing the standards for participation in public schools to include students attending private schools or have other alternative arrangements approved by the Commissioner of Education may increase the total cost of public education from kindergarten to grade 12 beginning in fiscal year 2025-26. The impact to the State and to local school administrative units can not be estimated at this time and will depend on the number of students attending private schools or having other alternative arrangements that will now be eligible to receive special education services in a public school and choose to do so as well as the number of students that are approved to participate in regular classes or other activities.
