This bill
increases the annual waste discharge license fee for municipal separate storm
sewer systems from $362 to $1,306 and for marine aquaculture facilities from
$275 to $1,682. The bill also establishes a new annual waste discharge
license fee of $1,682 for marine finfish aquaculture facilities. The
Department of Environmental Protection estimates that the fee increases and
new license fee will generate additional Other Special Revenue Funds revenue
of $55,791 in fiscal year 2025-26 and $57,409 in fiscal year 2026-27. The
department would require corresponding allocations to allow for the
expenditure of the additional revenue. |
