|
|
This bill
establishes certain rules for testing for PFAS contamination at solar and
wind energy development sites. The Department of Environmental Protection
(DEP) has indicated that implementing the requirements of this bill can not
be completed within existing resources and that additional staffing will be
required. The bill includes ongoing General Fund appropriations of $1,043,304
to the DEP starting in fiscal year 2025-26 for one Senior Environmental
Hydrogeologist, four Hydrogeologist, four Environmental Specialist II
positions, and associated position costs. |
