The Department of
Education estimates the one-time cost of collecting the required data on the
number of mathematics classes required for a high school diploma at secondary
schools in the State and preparing the required report to be $5,000. Because this bill requires the department
to collect this data and prepare the report within existing resources, no
General Fund appropriation is included in the bill. However, the ability of the department to
complete the requirements of this legislation without impacting existing
programs and services can not be determined at this time. |
