This bill includes
one-time General Fund appropriations of $100,000 per year in fiscal year
2025-26 and fiscal year 2026-27 to the School Finance and Operations program
within the Department of Education for the Maine Indian Education school
district to develop and implement a Wabanaki-centered curriculum for Native
American high school students. |

Additional costs
to the Department of Education to coordinate with the Maine Indian Education
school district to make available and disseminate the Wabanaki-centered
curriculum for Native American high school students to state-approved high
schools throughout the State can be absorbed within existing budgeted
resources. |
