	The bill requires an affirmative vote of 2/3 of the members present in each House of the Legislature to grant the authority to administer oaths, issue subpoenas and take depositions to an entity created by executive order.  The Legislature’s baseline budget for 2026-2027 includes funds for the Legislature to meet during the regular session, and to meet in special session on 2 days each fiscal year. Whether or not there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of holding a special session for this purpose will depend on the number of times the Legislature is required to convene in special session during the interim.
