Changing
participation in the Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance program from
mandatory to optional will reduce the amount of revenue received from the 1%
assessment on employee wages as well as the cost to the Department of Labor
to administer the program. The impact
to the program can not be estimated and will depend on the number of
employers that choose to participate in the program as well as the employee
wages of those employers. |
